"Best" Depends on Rumors on Where to Live
House hunting? Pretty much any decent Las Vegas realty agent can give you access to a list of homes for sale in Las Vegas. Condos for sale in North Las Vegas will probably show up there too. As will North West Las Vegas homes.

Getting your hands on a list is the easy part. The real trick is to separate the housing sheep from the goats so you end up in a neighborhood that suits your lifestyle. Yet ask 100 people and you're bound to get a few different opinions about where to settle down. For instance ask Jake and he might mention North West Las Vegas homes. Telling you to stick with houses and condos in Centennial Hills on down through the southwest to the Southern Highlands area. He likes it there and assumes you will too. |
While Sara might whisper a zip code. Something along the lines of "89052 is a good zip code to live in. Henderson Nevada. You know around Anthem and Highlands?"
Josh takes a different approach. He would tell you what you want to avoid. And in his opinion anything near Nellis is to be avoided at all costs. (No don’t even think about putting this area on your new homes list - Las Vegas either.) And despite the fact that condos for sale in North Las Vegas - may seem cheap - he’d wouldn’t buy. North Las Vegas condo or house. Even though he’d assure you that the area is getting better.
Niki is our commuter. She'd tell you Summerlin sucks if you're planning on driving into town. Can you tell she's NOT from California?
Then Molly would throw in her two cents and suggest that from where she sits the newer and better areas tend to be on the perimeter of the valley. That generally you want to be outside the 215 Beltway. And that she's noticed the northwest seems to be slightly more affordable than the southwest. Possibly because of the longer commute. Longer being relative of course.
Who's right? Well, like any metro area, it's hard to pin down the neighborhood with the best homes for sale in Las Vegas, Henderson or Reno, Nevada. You just have to do your homework and work with a knowledgeable Realtor.
