Denton continued, "We liked the fact that newer homes in Las Vegas NV are built with the latest building materials like high-grade exterior siding and windows. So they're more energy efficient. And to me a new home's energy efficiency is one of its biggest selling points."
Get the construction schedule in writing but expect delays. It's smart to have what compensation you'll get if the house is completed on time.
Also watch the upgrades and "change-orders". If you aren't careful you can send the price through the roof.
