To Madeline Althoff many of the Summerlin, Nevada homes she and her realtor traipsed through just wouldn't do. Seemed too many owners who were selling homes in Summerlin just didn't know how to stage them so they wowed her when she pulled into the driveway. Still she and her agent persisted. Since Madeline liked the fact that Summerlin was a low crime area. Being on the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley appealed to her for some reason. She also like Summerlin's proximity to scenic Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. |
Madeline wanted a house with a front door that made a statement. As she walked up the drive she wanted to be drawn in by a strong, secure door. Yet one that was pleasing to the eye that didn't look like every other front door in the neighborhood.
And would it kill the owner to put some type of flower on the front porch to accent the entry?
She was also looking for landscaping that was clean, fresh, well manicured.
Once inside she didn't want to be greeted by a cluttered foyer. To her it felt small and messy. And left her with the feeling the entire house was confining.
And make up and cosmetics littering the vanity in the master bath were a real turn off.
You may think Madeline is being picky. But for anyone looking at selling homes in Summerlin, she's who you should keep in mind as you try to see your home through the eyes of any potential buyer.
